An Interview [Attn:Sergei]

[Carpe Noctem]

Briggs walks into the Art Institute, looking completely out of place with the normal patrons of the arts. He stands at about 5'8', with a scrawny frame enveloped in a jacket littered with punk band patches, the large backpiece dedicated to the patron of it all, the Ramones. His jeans are torn in places, and he wears a wallet chain attached to a belt that looks to be made out of bullets. He has snake bite piercings in his bottom lip, and a very straight green mohawk coming out of his head. He pulls his wallet out, thumbing through some of the random business cards until he finds the one that he wants, and places his wallet back in his pocket. He then pulls out a cheap looking pre-paid cellphone, and dials Sergei's number. When someone answers, he speaks.

"My name is Briggs, I'm looking for a man named Sergei. Meet me at the Art Institute, as it's very important. I suggest you just come along now."

He hangs up, and slides the phone back in his pocket, not worrying about getting a response other than Sergei's presence.

Sergei, with his folded Chicago Tribune newspaper, enters Elysium, his female entourage by his side. They are all wearing their corporate business attire. Sergei ob’d to NOT stick out here. He refrains from staring at the artwork having his entourage escort him through the building as quickly as possible. They finally guide him over to Briggs.

“Briggs, I assume. Sergei Romanov at your service. You rang?”

Briggs watches Sergei enter with his entourage, a slight smirk coming to his face at the entrance. As Sergei approaches, he nods to his question.

"Yeah, I'm Briggs. I would say good to meet you, but this is a business call. As Sheriff for Prince Lodin, I have to investigate any possible breaches of the Traditions here. I've been told you've tried to employ someone else's ghoul that currently works at the Succubus Club, and I'd like to know why."

A very serious look washes over Sergei’s face, his entourage more with the looks of shock prevalent.

“A breach? I have done no such thing, Briggs. I was brought to the Succubus Club reluctantly by my (looking at them pissed before looking back at Briggs) entourage. I noticed Mercedes working dere. She was in the Penthouse when it blew up as I was. As I’m still getting used to your strange American customs and rules, I thought she might know more than I would with the…how ya say…players in this windy city of Chicago. We moved the conversation to the VIP section and talked for a while. She was offered a business card as is customary to all my associates I wished to get to know better. I did ask who she belonged to. I never pursued anything after she told me who she worked for.

He looks confused back at him.

“Is dis another custom I was unaware of? Am I only allowed to talk, mix and mingle as my associates would put it , to those associates that have things in common with myself just like the “rabble” you would associate with if you needed information?”

Briggs cracks his neck idly in a bit of irritation at the word Rabble, and takes a sharp breath before he replies.

"I just wasn't aware of exactly what happened between you and the ghoul. I wanted to make sure that if there were something I needed to know about, that it would be handled now, instead of later when it becomes a larger pain in the ass. You see where this Warrior Scholar is coming from? Proactive, not reactive. If that's all, I'd like to ask you and your...entourage to be on the lookout for a woman called Sascha. Do not make physical contact with her, as she is able to cause hallucinations in those she does."

Sergei nods to Briggs.

“Understood. Den we will be on our way.”

Sergei turns around walking out of the place at a hurried walking pace with his entourage in tow out of Elysium.

Briggs chuckles a bit at Sergei's rapid leaving, shaking his head a little and taking a moment to watch the women from behind before he heads deeper into the museum, strangely checking out some of the paintings before he eventually leaves.
